The Transit Development Plan (TDP) proposes a 20-year transit investment plan to enhance and improve service. Wasco County contracts with Mid-Columbia Economic Development District to provide the local Link bus services, including two regular bus routes in The Dalles, a regional route to Hood River, Dial-A-Ride service, and two shopping shuttles (South County and Hood River shuttles). The Wasco County Board of County Commissioners adopted the TDP on July 6, 2023, following a year of public outreach in 2022 and 2023. The outreach targeted residents and employees in the County who currently have few transportation options.
