Ordering Copies

Documents that have been recorded are part of the public record. To find a document that has been recorded with our office, you can search online or come to the Clerk's Office for assistance.

Online Document Search
We are pleased to now offer Digital Research Room which allows you to search for deeds and other land-related records that have been recorded in Wasco County. This free online service allows you to search and print document images from anywhere you have an Internet connection.

If you are looking for a plat or subdivision image,  use our Subdivision Index by Alphabet to find where the image is located. The How to Find Wasco County Subdivision Plats provides further instructions.

At the Clerk's Office
We have two public terminals you may use for your research during regular hours. You can print copies of any of your documents on our printer, but be aware that the fee is $0.25 cents per page.

Certified Copies
If you need a Certified Copy of a land document or Marriage License we would be happy to provide them in person at the Clerk’s Office counter or by the US Postal Service. Certified copies cannot be sent by email. Here are some other things to consider:
  • Land documents and Marriage Licenses must have been recorded in Wasco County. We do not have documents from other counties in our database.
  • Requests made in writing through the mail must include a check for payment, or you can pay in advance by credit card over the phone.
  • Certified Copy fee: $7.75 (this is for a 1 page document). If the document you want certified is more than one page, add $0.25 cents for each additional page, (ie: two pages, $8.00; three pages $8.25, etc).
