Oregon Law requires County Clerks to conduct elections for state, county, cities and special districts; maintain voter registrations and election statistics; provide a method for recording and preserving land records and liens; issue marriage licenses and record domestic partnerships; keep the Commissioner's Journal; maintain County public records and provide a clerk for the Board of Property Tax Appeals.
The filing period for the Board of Property Tax Appeals opens on Wednesday, October 18, 2016 and closes on Tuesday, January 3, 2016. Applicants must fill out the Real Property Petition Form and return it to the Wasco County Clerk’s office before midnight of the filing deadline. We also suggest reading the BOPTA Burden of Proof, Evidence and Hearing Procedures flyer to become familiar with the process.
The County Clerk is not a part of the Oregon State Circuit Court System. For court related services contact the Trial Court Office (541) 506-2700.
